Auto Body Work in Ranburne, AL

Panel beating is a hand skill, and it is getting rare. A hammer, a dolly, and someone who can read what the metal is doing will bring a fender back closer to its original shape than any amount of filler poured over the top of it.

Working the metal first

Sheet metal that has been struck is stretched, and stretched metal has to be brought back in before anything else happens. Done properly, a repaired panel needs only a skim to level the surface, and it stays flat for the life of the vehicle. Done as a shortcut, the low spot gets packed full, and within a couple of Alabama summers the filler shrinks and the shape of the original damage reappears through the paint like a ghost.

We would rather spend the extra hour with the hammer.

What comes across the shop floor

Fender restoration, panel replacement where the damage is past working, quarter panels, bed sides, cab corners, and the everyday stuff: a gate that swung into a door, a mailbox, a trailer that got away from someone. One customer had a gate ding up her car and said it came back looking brand new. Small jobs get the same standard as a claim job, because the person picking it up is going to be looking at that panel every day.

All makes, all models

Cars, trucks, and work vehicles. If the damage crosses into structure or the vehicle needs a wheel alignment afterward, that is handled here too rather than sent out.

We serve Cleburne, Randolph, Calhoun, and Carroll counties from Ranburne: Heflin, Fruithurst, and Edwardsville close by, Anniston and Oxford to the north, and Carrollton, Bremen, Temple, and Villa Rica over in Georgia.
